E-mail security company IronPort has tapped anti-spyware specialist Webroot for its new Web security appliances. IronPort is using the Webroot RockSafe E1000 SDK in its new S-Series appliances, security gear designed to block threats, including spyware, at the network perimeter.

IronPort pitches the new product as the way for enterprises to have a single appliance that contains the best technology from multiple vendors. The IronPort and Webroot technologies have been fully integrated, the company said. The IronPort S-Series is available now, it said Tuesday.
