Microsoft on Wednesday shuffled around several more executives as part of its ongoing restructuring of the company.

In the most significant of the shifts, senior vice president Orlando Ayala will move from his role overseeing sales to small and midsize companies into a new position overseeing emerging market efforts, reporting to Chief Operating Office Kevin Turner. Eduardo Rosini, who headed Microsoft's Asia-Pacific unit, will take over Ayala's role as head of the small and midsize unit, which also oversees Microsoft's partner network.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is moving development of its Dynamics CRM product from its Microsoft Business Solutions unit into the Office Business Platform group headed by Kurt DelBene. Also, marketing for Microsoft's unified communications effort, which was announced earlier this week, will be headed by Chris Capossela, who heads product marketing for Office.

Microsoft said it is still searching for a replacement for MBS head Doug Burgum, who announced plans in November to shift to an evangelist role as chairman of MBS once his successor was found. At the time, Microsoft said it had hoped to have a new executive in place by the spring, however the company has yet to find that person.

The moves are the latest in a series of shifts that has taken place since Microsoft realigned itself into three business units last September.
