IceRocket.com, a search upstart backed by Broadcast.com founder Mark Cuban, has licensed technology to help visitors find and download video and music online. The Dallas-based company said it teamed with San Francisco start-up GoFish Technologies to bolster its multimedia search capabilities. Financial terms of the deal were not released.

GoFish, founded last year with investments from Loudeye co-founder Martin Tobias, develops technology to specifically find downloadable content including MP3 music files, videos and games. Much like rivals Singingfish.com, Google and Yahoo, the company is aiming to answer mounting demand for multimedia search.
