Pivotal announced Tuesday that Howard Gwin has joined the company's board of directors. Gwin worked at software maker PeopleSoft for six years and served as the executive vice president of worldwide operations, during which time PeopleSoft increased its European revenue by 400 percent in less than two years and doubled international revenue within a year. Gwin became chief operating officer at Solect Technology after his stint at PeopleSoft and currently works as an independent consultant to technology companies.

Pivotal makes CRM (customer relationship management) software for large businesses, software that helps companies collect information on and keep track of their customers. --Sam Ames, Special to ZDNet News
