Games maker Nintendo announced on Wednesday that it will launch a new physical fitness product, called Wii Fit, for shipping to the U.S. this spring.

The Wii Fit, scheduled for launch on May 19, will come with a weight-and-motion sensing device called the Wii Balance Board, the company says. Nintendo also scheduled the launch of a new online service, called WiiWare, for May 12 in the U.S. WiiWare is intended to allow game publishers to distribute new titles over the Internet directly to users instead of on discs. The company also touted a new action game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, that is due for release on May 9.
