In Windows XP SP2, the operating system introduced the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) feature to help prevent damage from viruses and from other security threats. However, as the operating system got older, it appears that paranoia set in and Windows became suspicious of itself.

This article was actually very useful for me. I've been getting the BSOD but it would flash off so Windows could restart itself before I could finish reading it. Now I know the info I'm missing might not have helped me anyway. But I saved the image so I can read it at my leisure.... (Read the rest)
