2006: Dual-core platform advancements
Intel is ramping up its transition to dual-core processors. By the end of
2006, approximately 70% of its client and mobile processors and 85% of its
services processors will ship with dual-core. Shannon Poulin, Intel's
enterprise marketing director, explains some of the new platform features that
will take advantage of the new faster processors, which are powered by
65-nanometer technology.
